Father Gene Bagen, Vicar
The Anglican Province of America continues towards its ambitious goal of doubling the number of parishes under the APA umbrella. On December 1, 2007, The Most Reverend Walter Grundorf appointed the Rev. Gene Bagen as Vicar of the Anglican Church of St. Nicholas in Amherst, NY. This is the second APA parish in New York State.
Fr. Bagen is a member of the diocesan Board of Examining Chaplains and on the Bishop’s Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of St. John Vianny Seminary, East Aurora and previously was assistant rector at St. Joseph’s New Cathedral and on the staff of the Marriage Tribunal. He resides in West Falls with his wife Jenny.
